Telangana junior colleges to commence classes in two shifts



HYDERABAD: Classes in junior colleges in Telangana will be held in two shifts from February 1, 2021 as per guidelines issued by the state government on Tuesday.

Following recommendations by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, the government decided to adopt a shift system logistic plan.

“All colleges having strength of students below 300 and having sufficient accommodation shall be permitted to run in the regular shift i.e. 9.30 am to 4 pm. All colleges having strength above 300 will be run in two shifts namely morning shift 8.30 AM to 12.30 pm and afternoon shift 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm,” read the guidelines, adding that audio visual lectures will continue to telecast at suitable revised timings till March 31, 2021.

There will be no change in exam pattern. However, considering the difficulties faced by the students, it is decided to give vast and additional choices in the relevant sections of the question paper to make them more simple. Time-table for second year intermediate students will be issued separately.

In terms of degree and professional colleges, online/distance learning shall continue. While the government has decided to start physical classes for all degree, PG and professional colleges, the same shall be subject to written consent from parents/guardians. “Minimum attendance will not be required for appearing in the examinations of the current semester of the academic year 2020-21. A maximum of 50 per cent classrooms capacity strength shall be permitted to attend physical classes on rotation basis,” read the guidelines.

Telangana 10th exams 2021 from May 17




HYDERABAD: The Telangana School Education Department on Saturday announced that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam will be held between May 17 and May 26.

As per the academic calendar for 2020-21 released by the state, the summative assessment exams will be held from May 7 to May 13. Likewise, Formative assessment will be held in March and April.

The schools will reopen for class 9 and class 10 students on February 1 and the last working day for the academic year 2020-21 will be on May 26. There will be a total of 89 working days in the academic year 2020-21.

The department made it clear that attendance is not mandatory and shall depend entirely on written consent from the parent and directed them to allow students willing to study from home with the consent of their parents.

The schools in the state will break from the summer vacation on May 28 and will remain closed till June 13.

RBI Security Guard Recruitment 2021: Apply online for 241 posts




NEW DELHI: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited applications for the recruitment to the posts of Security Guards in various offices of the Bank.

Around 241 vacancies are exclusively for ex-servicemen only. The selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive online test followed by Physical Test.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through Bank’s official website – as no other mode of submission of application will be accepted by the RBI.

RBI Security Guard Recruitment 2021: Age (as on 01/01/2021)

Normal age limit of 25 years (28 years for OBC and 30 years for SC/ST as per category relaxation provided by the Government of India) as on January 01, 2021, is further relaxed to the extent of number of years of service in Armed Forces plus 3 years subject to maximum upper age limit of 45 years. The upper age limit of 45 years is uniformly applicable to candidates belonging to all categories inclusive of reserved candidates.

RBI Security Guard Recruitment 2021: Educational Qualifications (as on 1/01/2021)

The candidate should have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from recognized State Education Board or equivalent. Ex-servicemen who have passed the qualifying examination from outside the recruitment zone either before or after leaving the military service are also eligible.

Only ex-servicemen with proper military background are eligible. The candidates should have experience of handling arms and ammunition in the military.

RBI Security Guard Recruitment 2021: Scheme of Selection

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks in Online Test. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Physical test which will be of qualifying in nature. From the candidates who qualify in the physical test, a merit list based on the marks scored in the online test shall be prepared. These provisionally shortlisted candidates will have to successfully complete document verification, biometric verification and any other procedure as may be decided by the Bank. They will also have to undergo the pre-recruitment medical test. Final selection will be done based on all these mandatory procedures.

SBI SCO Admit Card 2021 released; check download link here




NEW DELHI: State Bank of India (SBI) on Friday released the admit cards for the recruitment exam of Specialist Cadre Officers on its official website – The assessment will be done online.

Candidates, who have applied for the recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers in State Bank of India (CRPD/SCO/2020-21/280, can now download their admit card on the official website through candidate login.

After downloading the admit card, candidates need to affix firmly a copy of his/her recent passport size photograph in the space provided for it in the call letter and bring it with you along with photo identity proof in original and a photocopy when you come to the venue for the examination.

Candidates should note that you will not be permitted to appear for the examination if you come without the photo identity proof in original and a photocopy, call letter or without the photograph affixed on the call letter. You will be required to sign on your call letter and affix your left thumb impression in the space provided for candidate’s signature and thumb impression respectively in the presence of the invigilator in the examination hall.

Candidates must bring own stamp pad for affixing your thumb impression. You should submit your call letter along with the photocopy of photo identity proof by putting it in the designated drop box at the end of the examination in the examination hall.

IRIS will be scanned at the examination venue. (IRIS scan is introduced in lieu of Biometric thumb impression due to covid-19 situation to avoid circulation of infection with multiple thumb impressions). Decision of the IRIS data verification authority with regard to its status (matched or mismatched) shall be final and binding upon the candidates. Refusal to participate in the process of IRIS scanning / verification on any occasion may lead to cancellation of candidature. With regards to the same, please note the following:

(a) ‘LEFT EYE (IRIS)’ will be captured for all the candidates.

(b) Candidates should remove Contact Lenses and Spectacles while capturing IRIS. Candidates are advised to avoid wearing contact lenses and prefer spectacles.

(c) There is no touch involved in IRIS scanning. Half feet distance between scanner and eye will be maintained.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

1) Open the official website of SBI –

2) On the homepage of the website, there will be a link “SBI SCO Admit Card”. Click on the link

3) A new page will appear on your screen

4) Enter your registration number and password (date of birth) in DD-MM-YY format and security pin and click on login.

4) Your SBI SCO admit card will be displayed on the screen. Carefully check all your details such as name, date of birth, gender, test centre name, city, state, code of eligibility and category etc.

5) Download it and take a printout for future reference.
