IIM Indore concludes placement for EPGP students with average salary of Rs 24.10 lpa

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore concluded the placement process for the Class of 2020 of its Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) with an average salary of Rs 24.10 lakh per annum. The highest salary in the 2019-20 EPGP placement this season is Rs 80 lakh per annum, a jump of 153% from last year.

The EPGP is an intensive one-year full-time residential MBA program designed for executives with minimum 5 years of work experience. The EPGP Class of 2020 completed its international immersion module entitled “Advanced Leadership Program” during September-October, 2019 at SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.

The EPGP Class of 2020 comprised 43 candidates. Some of the recruiters include companies like FIIT-JEE, HSBC, Accenture – Technology, Virtusa, TCS, Cybertech, Vector Consulting, Infosys Domain Consulting, Atos Syntel, and Wolters Kluwers, according to a release issued by the IIM.

MKU evening college begins admission process for M Phil courses

MADURAI: The Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Evening College has opened applications for admission to various M Phil courses offered for the academic year 2020-2021 and the last date for admission is January 29.

As per an official notification from MKU on January 18, admissions are open for M Phil courses for 22 subjects — Commerce, Tamil, Chemistry, English, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Bio-Medical Science, Economics, History, Business Administration, Botany, Bio-Medical Science, Computer science, Bio-Technology, Sociology, Education, Computer Application, Journalism and Mass Communications, Library Science, Gandhian Studies, Tourism Management, and Political Science.

The application form for admission can be downloaded from the university website at
www.mkuniversity.ac.in.

Admission into the course will be based on the marks scored in the M Phil qualification test and candidates will be ranked and selected based on the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

SC/ST students need not pay the cost of the application by producing an attested copy of their Community Certificate.

Other students are required to pay Rs 500 towards the cost of the application along with the filled in application.

The course is for two semesters with 90 working days each and the semester exams are usually held in November and April of the academic year.

The MKU Evening College was re-established in 2017 to help employed persons, who are unable to undergo studies through regular mode, considering the increased demand for higher degree courses.

IIM Trichy begins certificate programme in leadership and change management

TRICHY: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Trichy started the first batch of post graduate certificate programme in leadership and change management (PGCLCM), Sunday.

The six-month program offered in association with Times TSW is an executive education program targeted at working executives. The course will be held in a blended mode on Sunday afternoons in a direct-to-device model.

The first batch has 67 participants, with an average work experience of 14 years.

The program attempts to sensitize growing leaders to see change as a daily occurrence, said Abhishek Totawar, programme director, PGCLCM.

It will abreast the participant with leadership competencies to lead such changes in the organizational environment, he added.

Godwin Tennyson, director in-charge of IIM Trichy said, addressing change is a symbiotic process, necessary for organizations and its leaders to embrace changes and stay relevant.

Chief guest for the event, S Rajesh Balaji, chief human resource officer, Matrimony.com highlighted the importance of this specialized course, which would help a mid-career professional to fast-track their growth.

ssc gd result: SSC Constable GD final result to be released today at ssc.nic.in

NEW DELHI: Staff Selection Commission will announce the final result of the SSC Constable (GD) 2018 on its official website on January 20, 2021.

According to the notice available on the Commission’s website, the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018, will be declared on Wednesday i.e., January 20.

The SSC Constable GD final results will be made available on the official portal of the Commission — ssc.nic.in.

The Staff Selection Commission conducted an open examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Ministry of Home Affairs and the Staff Selection Commission. The recruitment process included a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination.

Staff Selection Commission had declared the Paper I result of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2020, on Tuesday i.e., January 19. The scores of the exam will be made available on the SSC’s website on January 22.
