NEW DELHI: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the scores of the candidates who have appeared in the IBPS RRB PO Prelims 2020 on the official website of the Institute – ibps.in. Candidates who appeared in the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims 2020 are advised to visit the official website of the Institute to check and download the scorecards. SEBI Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) 2020 Phase I result announced, check here

NEW DELHI: Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released the Phase I result for Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) 2020 on its official website – https://www.sebi.gov.in.
Candidates, who appeared for the online examination held on January 17, 2021, can check their results on the official website without any login.
The SEBI Officer Grade A (Assistant Manger) 2020 result is available on the official website in PDF format. Candidates can check their results by searching their Roll No. on the result PDF page.

Candidates, who have secured 40% cut-off marks in Phase I exam have been shortlisted for Phase II. Candidates should note that the marks obtained in Phase I will be used only for shortlisting the candidates for Phase II examiantion process and will not be counted for final selection of the candidates. The list of candidates shortlisted for Phase II has been made available on the SEBI website.

The SEBI had invited applications from Indian citizens for the post of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) for the General Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream, Engineering Stream, Research Stream and Official language Stream.

Mode of Selection: Mode of selection shall be a three stage process i.e., Phase I (on-line screening examination consisting of two papers off 100 marks each), Phase II (on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each) and Phase III (Interview).

Schools, colleges reopen after a gap of 10 months in Manipur

IMPHAL: After a gap of ten months, schools and colleges in Manipur reopened from Wednesday with several COVID-19 safety procedures in place.

Sangeeta Mayengbam, Principal of Tamphasana Girls Higher Secondary School in Imphal, said that students are allowed to attend classes after getting consent from their parents or guardians.

“Students are allowed to attend classes after showing the consent certificate from their parents. One student is allowed to sit on a bench at a time and students are instructed to sit in a zig-zag manner with proper social distancing. The school authorities have distributed face masks among the students,” Sangeeta said while speaking to ANI.

Freshers who attended her first class were very enthusiastic and felt quite a sense of happiness to be back again.

“I feel very happy to attend the first class of the 11th standard. I am very excited to find new friends and teachers,” said Nemshi Usha, a student.

Another student said that she was very happy and excited to attend normal classes instead of online classes, as her doubts remained unclear in the virtual sessions.

The state cabinet had earlier taken the decision to reopen the schools from classes 9 to 12 from January 27, after they were closed for months owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The government in its cabinet meeting had taken a decision to re-open schools for Classes 9 to 12 from January 27, 2021, for the academic session 2020 in order to prepare themselves for the ensuring examinations,” the Directorate of Education of Schools, Manipur said while issuing an order.

A list of COVID-19 safety measures has been issued to all school authorities.

Manipur has so far reported 29,007 COVID-19 positive cases while 28,476 persons have recovered from the disease. The death toll of the state stands at 370.

Students were seen attending the classes with face masks and maintaining social distancing. The new freshers were enthusiastic to attend normal classes at their respective schools.

Modernisation of 10% kiranas can generate 3.2 million jobs: Report

Modernization of 10% of the 13 million kiranas in India could boost retail consumption by more than 5% and generate 3.2 million new jobs in the country, according to a latest report from Accenture and Trust For Retailers and Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN).

“The rapid changes in consumer behavior and acceleration of online commerce, mandate that the Indian retail ecosystem transform to meet emerging consumer needs,” said Piyush N Singh, India market unit lead.

“As the lifeline of the Indian retail sector, a digital led transformation of Kirana stores can result in significant economic gains, including nearly 1% employment growth in India. The transformation process needs to be expedited with comprehensive policy intervention, technology support, and, most importantly, collaboration between key ecosystem players,” he said.

Sameer Amte, managing director in Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting business in India, said the modernization of Kirana stores will not only help improve consumption and local employment but will also have a positive impact on the retail ecosystem in terms of new growth opportunities.

“We believe with an improved, intelligent supply chain infrastructure, easier access to technology and funds, these stores can redefine the future of the Indian retail landscape,” he said.

Amongst the modernization initiatives, the focus areas should be location assessment of the store, funding assessment whereby the rent should not be more than 3% of sales or one-fifth of the gross profit, store layout which influences the customer’s perception of the store, technology, product placement practices and customer engagement.

TRRAIN founder B.S. Nagesh said kirana stores play a crucial role in the Indian retail sector, which in turn contributes nearly 11% of the nation’s gross domestic product and 8% of its total workforce. “Kirana transformation will not only help store owners improve profitability but also add value to the customers and overall ecosystem,” he said.
