The Court of Arbitration for Sport on Tuesday upheld the ban on Russian teams’ participation in UEFA competitions after the invasion of Ukraine.
“The challenged decision remains in effect and all Russian teams and clubs remain suspended from participating in UEFA competitions,” CAS said in a statement.
The decision means Spartak Moscow will be banned from the Europa League and the Russian women’s team will be banned from the Euro 2022 tournament in England this summer.
