“I’m not responding to these bullshit claims.”

You know Armie Hammer.

Over the weekend, unverified Instagram DMs were shared on social media that depicted Hammer allegedly engaging in sexually aggressive and potentially disturbing conversations.

Hammer was also about to start production on the action-comedy Shotgun Wedding opposite Jennifer Lopez — but Variety reports that, following the controversy stirred up by the alleged DMs, the actor will be stepping away from the film and his role will be recast.

Along with exiting the film, Hammer issued a statement explaining his decision and addressing the conversation surrounding the alleged DMs.

“I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” he said.

Hammer also said that the film’s studio, Lionsgate, “is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.” A rep for the film also said the following: “Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.”

Variety reports that some of the alleged DMs included “the actor appearing to write to a woman on [Instagram] that he is ‘100% a cannibal’ and desired to ‘drink your blood.'”

Whatever the case may be, we’ll see if this story has any new developments.

WandaVision Easter Eggs Episode 3

Wanda Maximoff is going to make me cry every week, huh?

🚨Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Episode 3 of WandaVision!🚨

First, the colorful WandaVision opening credits are a nod to the opening credits from The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

And, the final title card in the opening credits are inspired by The Brady Bunch and the iconic tiles.

In Episode 3, Wanda and Vision’s house now looks just like the house from The Brady Bunch, complete with the staircase.

Also, in the opening credits, Vision builds a swing set in the backyard, which is similar to the one the Brady kids had on The Brady Bunch.

Marvel / Disney+ / ABC

Even the fence and flower bed look the same.

The department store that Wanda and Vision go to in the opening credits could be named after Deidre Wentworth from the Marvel comics.

Marvel / Disney+

Similar to Dr. June Covington, whose first name I spotted in Episode 1, Deidre ends up being recruited to join Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers as Ms. Marvel. The character of Ms. Marvel is scheduled to join the MCU in her own TV series and she will be featured in Captain Marvel 2.

Now, if we’re going with the theory that Wanda has created this reality to cope with Vision’s death (and even Pietro’s death), Vision suddenly having super speed is likely a nod to Pietro and his powers.

Marvel / Disney+

Vision uses his super speed to catch the falling fruit and to get the doctor later on.

The “Simser” paint cans are a nod to Jeremy Simser, who is a storyboard artist on WandaVision, Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness, and She-Hulk.

When Vision tells Wanda he wants to name their child Billy, he quotes William Shakespeare’s play As You Like It, and the quote even relates to WandaVision because Wanda has likely created this reality and Vision is merely a “player” in it.

The doll Vision uses to practice changing diapers looks like Cindy’s beloved Kitty Karry-All doll from The Brady Bunch.

If you look closely, you can spot “Coy” soap behind Wanda while she’s in the kitchen. In Episode 1, Coy soap was advertised on the back of the magazine Agnes was reading to Wanda.

Also, this is just a great continuity detail, but Wanda is cutting up the pineapple that Agnes hilariously brought over during Episode 1.

One of the best details that continues to highlight Wanda creating and manipulating this reality is when time skips backwards/rewinds after Vision begins to question everything.

Marvel / Disney+

Wanda Maximoff is already out here making me sob.

When Vision says that he hopes Billy is like his mother, this is a nod to Wanda and Vision’s son Billy in the comic books having magical abilities like Wanda.

Marvel / Disney+

Tommy has super speed in the comics like Pietro. And, later in the episode, Tommy is even born before Billy because he’s, in theory, faster.

The commercial in Episode 3 is very obvious with its mention of Hydra, but the Hydra Soak bath powder could be a callback to an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, when in an alternate timeline, Coulson mentions Hydra’s mind-controlling soap.

Marvel / Disney+ / ABC

Again, on WandaVision, Wanda is seemingly creating false memories to cope with Vision’s death and this is all being created thanks to her magical abilities, just like the side effects Coulson experienced with the soap.

Also, the narration in the commercial says, “Escape to a world all your own, where your problems float away,” which is another nod to Wanda creating this reality.

When Wanda is trying to hide her pregnancy from Geraldine, it’s a nod to all of the classic TV tricks used to hide an actor’s real life pregnancy — a large coat, a bowl of fruit, and a large vase of flowers.

Similar to in Episode 1 and Episode 2, the color red plays an important role and continues to symbolize Wanda’s magic.

Of course, Wanda eventually gives birth to twin boys Billy and Tommy, who are so very important to Wanda’s story in the comic books. I literally started crying when I heard their names, it’s fine, I’M FINE.

Marvel / Disney+

In the comics, Wanda and Vision have twin boys, Billy and Tommy. The entire storyline surrounding the twins is massive in Wanda/Scarlet Witch’s comic book history, and this will be a HUGE turning point for the character in the MCU. Also, Doctor Strange is involved in the twins’ lives, so this will likely connect WandaVision to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

When Vision walks the doctor out and asks if he’s still going on his trip, the doctor says that small towns are “hard to escape,” which is yet another nod to Vision and Wanda being trapped in this reality.

When Wanda mentions Pietro to Geraldine, this is the first time Wanda has even mentioned her brother since his death in Avengers: Age of Ultron — yes, I am WEEPING.

And then, Wanda sings a Sokovian lullaby to Billy and Tommy, and Wanda has barely spoken in Sokovian since Pietro’s death.

The necklace Wanda spots around Geraldine’s neck features the S.W.O.R.D. logo, which was seen in Episodes 1 and 2.

Marvel / Disney+

As I mentioned last week, in the comics, S.W.O.R.D. is basically a counterpart to S.H.I.E.L.D. This agency deals with extraterrestrial threats to the world and is based in space.

The broach that Agnes wears, which we get a better glimpse of in Episode 3, is very similar to the one Agatha Harkness wears in the comics.

Marvel / Disney+

Remember, in the Marvel comic books, Agatha is a powerful Marvel witch who becomes an important mentor for Wanda, and it’s very likely that Agnes is actually her. Also in the comics, Wanda becomes pregnant with Billy and Tommy after a run in with Agatha Harkness. Y’all, I am YELLING.

Also, on Agnes’s broach, one of the people appears to be carrying a scythe, which could be a nod to Grim Reaper, whose helmet was shown quickly in Episode 2.

Marvel / Disney+

In Tom King’s Vision comics, Vision tries to live a normal life and ultimately ends up fighting Grim Reaper.

And finally, when Geraldine gets literally thrown from WestView by Wanda, she is instantly surrounded by cars that have the S.W.O.R.D. logo.

Marvel / Disney+

Again, I am running with the theory that Monica Rambeau aka Geraldine is working with S.W.O.R.D. to monitor Wanda and Vision.
